Commercial Description:
First blended by Glenn & Urbain at the Bles Festival in Zottegem Belgium, last October 2008, for the beer geek public, and around closing time. Many positive feedbacks around the blend, kept following both breweries. As a tribute, and honour to the late Pre-Zbf 2009 festival, we decided together with Alvinne, to officialize this blend to a one time labelled bottling this year. Only a thousand 33cl bottles were filled, to be distributed and sold on this fest, and in our respective shops.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of cherries and stored fruits. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of cherries, which makes it quite tart. Nice, though the body is thin.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of joergen/MiP/yespr. Pours a clear dark red with a pinkish head. Tart cherry aroma. Medium body, tart and sulphurous cherry accents. The finish is tart with a light acidity. Nice one. 200309

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy deep golden red with a small pink head. Dry wooden and almondish cherry dry aroma. Dry, acetone, cherry and wooden flavoured as the main impressions. Dry cherry fruity flavoured into the far finish. Dry cherry as the main impression, the struiselensis doesnt really shine though I thought until I compared this to the Kerasus - there is certainly body and substance from the Struiselensis in this.

Bottle 33cl.
Clear medium to dark red color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to light red head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, fruity, cherry, light hoppy, light yeasty. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light acidic with a average duration. Very refreshing and fresh like a good fruit beer. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090306]

Bottle. Good cherry aroma. The flavour is nice cherryish with a good citric, lactic note to balance. Hazy dark red colour. Small light pink head. Good lactic aftertaste.

Bottle, thanks Patrik! Muddy reddish-purple colour. Woody, funky nose with sweet cherry. The tartness and wood lends this one a certain freshness. Dry beer, even a bit thin. Moderately sharp lactic notes and a fresh cherry finish. It’s no oude kriek, but it’s a nice sour cherry.
