Nice Quad, Great warm brown color, and yellow beige foam. Smell is nutty, malt and hints of soft porto wood. taste is super smooth, malty honeyed and ends with complex porto touches.

Draft - Very beautiful orange brown lightly hazy body with a huge lasting whipped cream like head; Very very nice nose, tons of character in malt depth and very well integrated barrel aromas, nothing is left out, very well put together; Very very nice body with a pleasant soft texture and a little to much oak tannins to be well fitting; It finishes long with the tannins a little to present but otherwise amazing, tons of aromas from both malt, hop, yeast and barrel. Very very nice and interesting beer with tons of character, its only flaw is a little to much time spend in the barrels.

Sampled at the Pre-ZBF festival at Alvinne. The sign described the beer as a quad aged in a port barrel and coming in at 10% abv. This beer was also brewed with violet flowers. The beer poured an orange/brown body with a thick, fluffy off white, tan head some solid lacing around the glass. The aroma is malty, a bit of wood and some floral notes as well. The taste is pleasing for sure. A malty sweet up front character with some alcohol and wood notes as you work your way through the beer. The violet flower added a different, maybe spiced character to this beer that was very intersting.

Draught @ Pre-ZBF Alvinne. A dark brown colored beer, with a creamy light beige head. The aroma is fruity, malty and there are flowers. The taste of brandy, fruits, flowery, alcohol well hidden. With some hints of wine/porto. The aftertaste is fruity.

on tap at Pre-ZBF pours hazy orange and brown with a thin tan head. Aroma was sweet with a sour fruit note. Flavors were nice with some sweet malt and an earthy sourness in the finish. Very interesting and complex flavors in the finish that I couldn’t explain.

A Mes rate: draught at Alvinne Pre ZBF.
Murky amber colour with a good light beige head. Truly unusualy stuff. Floral and very perfumey with loads of chunky yeast. Excellent slightly sweet bready notes bolstered by the chewy alcohol. Faint estery notes with some good spicy hints in the finish. Very faint barrel notes throughout. Soft and warming. Lovely.

Draught Huge, very fine yellowish head, leaving textbook lace, over deep-red amber beer with slight haze. Pours like gushing from the tap. Almonds, perfume, toilet soap, rosepetals. Almonds, bit of oxydation, almondcake, rosewater. Medium bodied, very slick, pure gristfeel. Nice, if just a tad overperfumed. I was convinced rosewater had been added, until I learned about the violets...
