Commercial Description:
Well known card play throughout the globe, famous black Swedish condom on the other hand, and now a Porter brewed for Jack Pano at Belgobaren. ""MOTVERKAR TRISTESS"" is Swedish for ""Prevent boredom"". After a lot of development trials, some even with the whole Monks crew next to the kettles, we finally launched this Porter aged on oak. Jack will happily propose this ale to friends, relatives, family & clients...

bottle at the Pre-ZBF pours dark brown with a thin dark tan head. Dark malt and a sour oaky aroma. Roasted malt body with a sour wood flavor that rides throught and ends lingering for a while. This was very enjoyable and I’m glad that I picked some up.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a hazy and opaque dark brown with an orange hue and a small beige head. Sweet aroma of dried fruits and hard roasted malts. Full-bodied, sweetish hard roasted malt, dried fruit and a discreet bitterness. Has a strange underlying tartness that gives a bit of a tang. 090209

Bottle purchased at Alvinne bottle shop in Belgium. Beer tasted with friends at TJ’s on 29.12.08. The beer poured a very dark, brown head with a deep tan head and ring on the edge. The nose has strong coffee and cocoa aromas. The taste is a bit sweet up front but is complimented by the strong coffee character and some chocolate notes. There are also some dried fruit notes in the taste, a bit of funk as well. I had tried a small sample of this at the Struise brewery a few months back and was very happy to try this one in bottle.

Bottled. An unclear brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of spices, caramel, and brown sugar. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of over ripe fruits as well as medium notes of caramel and spices, leading to a dry spicy finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Stark bitter-malziger Antrunk, der Hopfen ist erkennbar, agiert aber nur sehr nebensächlich. Ausgewogen, malzig-erdiger Abgang. Ausführlicher Neutest folgt.

Trade with Fonefan. It is black with a red hue and a small, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, light wood, vanilla, light cheese and pumpkin and chocolate. The flavour has a light sweetness and it has notes of roasted malt, light wood, yeast, chocolate, light cheese and sourness, that is strongest in the beginning. I’m a bit disappointed...
