Commercial Description:
Well known card play throughout the globe, famous black Swedish condom on the other hand, and now a Porter brewed for Jack Pano at Belgobaren. ""MOTVERKAR TRISTESS"" is Swedish for ""Prevent boredom"". After a lot of development trials, some even with the whole Monks crew next to the kettles, we finally launched this Porter aged on oak. Jack will happily propose this ale to friends, relatives, family & clients...

Bottle courtesy of BMan1113VR. I got the very bottom of this bottle. Murky brown pour. Smells very bready. Sweet malts with some coffee notes. Very very sharp taste. Upfront coffee that is so sweet it hurts. Would like to try again with a better sample.

Bottle from Cracked Kettle. Deep dark brown with no head. Nice nose of chocolate and raisins. Oily texture. Up front taste of dark fruits, berries and caramel and toffee. Quite sweet. With some spicyness in the end. Interesting and quite all over the place.

33cl Bottle from De Molen. Black colour with red edges, very thin creamy beige head. Aroma of earthy liquorice root, oak, sour fruits, light vanilla and roasted malts. Flavour is sweet, roasted malts and a bit of chocolate, tart/sour fruits, a bit wine-like, wood, powdery liquorice in the finish. Light to medium bodied, thin mouthfeel. Sourness and thin mouthfeel ruin the beer completely imo. Didn’t finish it.

Bottle, 33cl - Opaque black beer with no head. Aroma is malty with sour, vinous notes of licorice, vanilla, raisins and wood. Flavor is sourish fruity with notes of overripe fruit, vanilla, licorice and yet again wine like substances, perhaps oak. Very enjoyable, tastes like it would be stronger alcohol wise.
