Commercial Description:
New batch brewed at Struise, available from July 2008.

Dangerous Blonde is a funky triple style beer with a strong edge brewed first in December 2004 and released for New Years Eve 2005. It was once brewed at the Caulier facilities exclusively for Ølbutikken in Copenhagen, Denmark. Only 140 bottles of this exclusive batch were released at that time in numbered and sealed magnum bottles. We thought it was time for a Struise Deca revival! Deep golden orangey to amber body and a white creamy head. Has a nose with a complexity of different aromas. The taste is a little bitter, sweet and fruity acidity with little to medium carbonation. The finish is almost endless with again a bitter, sweet and dry aftertaste.

RBSG 2007 Grand Tasting. Batch 91, 2005 vintage. Cloudy yellow with a big white head. Dusty nose, yeasty, light fruit and spice. Spicy sweet flavors of coriander, ginger, a bit bready with plenty of honey. The finish turns slightly astringent and dry. Very interesting brew!

1.5 L bottle (93). Pours slight hazy yellow with a huge white head. Slight sour, hoppy and yeasty/malty aroma, slight sweet too. Medium to full-bodied. Flavour is sweet with spice notes from the yeast. Sweet finish very nice.

Sample from 1.5 liter bottle, RBSG Minneapolis Grand Tasting, June 23 2007. Bight hazy blonde with near white head, nicely retained.....strong, spicy, yeasty-earthy nose, hints of honey and mint....juicy, lots of floral-honey character and plenty of spice (coriander, ginger, orangepeel); very sweet up-front, quite dry and rather mineralic towards the finish....strong carbonation, lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Very nice.

Sampled at the RBSG ’07 Grand Tasting room. Pours a semi-hazy golden blonde brew with a thin white head. Aroma of yeast, fruity and plenty of alcohol. Taste is full bodied, lightly carbonated, with some flavors of sour apple. Finish is slightly tart and yeasty.

Bottle... RBSG 07... Hazy, straw-colored ale with a mid-sized, frothy, white head and excellent, creamy retention. The nose is very breadsy, citric and lightly phenolic. The sweet flavor is very reminiscent of mead. Lots of honey and lightly kilned, pale malts. Full-bodied and a touch oily with tingly carbonation. Lengthy, mildly bitter, medium sweet finish.

Bottled. Yellow coloured. Uncleaer. Dense off white head. Sweetness, yeast, fruits and spice in the aroma. Flavour is yeasty and fruity as well. Has some sweetness and spices. Alcohol is quite notable. Quite smooth and pleasant. Medium to full bodied. Heavy warming end with light spicy notes. Very good brew. Had it around christmas on draught @ Ølbaren. That sample seemed a bit old and dusty.

2005 bottle. Fresh bubblegum, citrus, and alcohol aroma. Smooth but lively palate. Yellwo with a lively head. A bit of an edge in the finish, more alcohol than hops, I get the bitterness of which they speak. Not bad.
