Jun 28, 2007 RBSG 2007. 2005 vintage bottle #091. The beer pours to a pale yellow body with a foamy white head. The aroma is a typical Belgian ale. Resiny raisins, estery bananas, and pears. The flavor is pears and yellow apples with a touch of spicy hops. Sweet, lightly alcoholic, medium-bodied and has a lingering sweetness, but it’s still refreshing.

Jun 26, 2007 One of the highlights of RBSG ’07. This beer might be the world’s second best tripel after Karmeliet. A very sweet and complex beer. Orange in color and an aroma that includes coriander, orange, bitter hops, and wild grass. Sweet and lots of sugar but also citrus, and pear, as well as more coriander and peach. A minor burn from alcohol, which is OK in a tripel. The beer is quite thick and like Syrup. Thanks for Yesper for carrying two giant bottles of this to the Twin Cities. I tasted from bottle 91.

Jun 25, 2007 Light straw yellow colour with a big old stark white head. Light and minty flavour. I couldn’t get an aroma off this one, finished with a bit of alcohol.

Mar 18, 2007 Magnum bottle. Light golden and hazy with a huge, white head. The aroma has notes of fruit, citrus and pineapple. The mouthfeel is lively and the flavour has notes of citrus, sweetness, a hint of elderberry, yeast, melon, a hint of bog myrtle and licorice just before the finish. Complex and nice, and the finish is very long. 1942
