Commercial Description:
New batch brewed at Struise, available from July 2008.

Dangerous Blonde is a funky triple style beer with a strong edge brewed first in December 2004 and released for New Years Eve 2005. It was once brewed at the Caulier facilities exclusively for Ølbutikken in Copenhagen, Denmark. Only 140 bottles of this exclusive batch were released at that time in numbered and sealed magnum bottles. We thought it was time for a Struise Deca revival! Deep golden orangey to amber body and a white creamy head. Has a nose with a complexity of different aromas. The taste is a little bitter, sweet and fruity acidity with little to medium carbonation. The finish is almost endless with again a bitter, sweet and dry aftertaste.

Bottle at RBESG 2006. Not sure what to make of this one... these beers with the descriptive names always throw me when there’s not much else to go on. Sounds exciting but isn’t much. Very alcoholic and quite sweet.

2005 edition. Dense floral bouquet, hay and a massive white head bids the drinker welcome after chopping through the thick laquer seal and popping the cork. In the mouth, the spices, dryness and yeast so typical of Belgian ales come out to play. Full-bodied with a long, long aftertaste. Alcohol more present than usually so for a ’mere’ 10,2% in Belgian tradition. Settles fantastically well in your system, underlining a notion of great craftsmanship. A very fine beer indeed.

Bottle. Blonde in colour. Lots of warming alcohol in this, slight alcohol burn on the tongue. Typical Belgian characters, quite a sharp yeast character, with some light acidity. Quite citric and lightly floral aswell, alcohol is evident in the finish.

Bottled at RBESG-06, GTN. A bit unclear, orange-golden beer with an off-white head. Alcohol, some sourness, yellow apples and yeast in the aroma. The flavor is a bit sour, yet sweet and with alcohol. Medium body. Not my prefered tripel, but good anyway. (060826)

[Sampled at RGESG 2006]y golden. Spicy aroma with alco-notes. Way too much alcohol in the flavour; overwhelming!

(Bottle) Pours light yellow. Yeast, spices and some herbs in aroma. Creamy but sour smell. Some fruit. Spicey and herb-ish taste with some hints of citrus. Maybe some allmond paste. Light to medium body.

[Bottle. RBESG Göteborg] Shady yellow colour, white head. Banana, citric nose, fair note of alcohol. Very sweet mouthfeel, yet light on its feet. Alcohol is clearly sensed. Alcohol bitterness. Sweet yes, one dimensional yes, but I found it quaffable.
