Oct 16, 2006 Tap, DBF 2005. Hazy gold, good white head and good condition. Low grainy nose with some yeastiness, sweet malt in the mouth with a faint peppery hoppiness. Yeast bitter and fruity in the finish.

Oct 2, 2006 Gusher. Orange blonde color, cloudy. Anis, orange and a touch of yeast in the aroma. Yeasty flavor with melon, anis and mint. Not an ordinary blonde!

Sep 6, 2006 Hazy yellow color, white foamy head. Spicy middle, vanilla and citrus (grapefruit) notes. Tight light bitter. Medium body and smooth texture. Some character and a classy beer.

Aug 26, 2006 Dark gold beer with thick lasting white head. Delicate hop aroma. Lots of light fruits, citrus notes. Attractive. Bit of biscuity malt. Sharp in mouth to start and then it softens. Delicate hop finish.

Jul 29, 2006 (Bottle 33 cl) Deca version - my first 50 cl bottled Caulier version exploded in the cupboard. Pours a hazy amber golden with a tall and lively head that works its own way out of the bottle. Yeast sediment. Aroma of malt and yeast. Fairly solid body also with malt and yeast being the most prominent. Some alcohol presence before a dry finish. 290706

Jul 27, 2006 (Bottled) Hazy orange-amber color with a huge, foamy head (did burst right out of the bottle). Slightly acidic, fruity-malty aroma with quite a bit of yeast, some anise and earthy cellar. Flavor of fruity malt, yeast, anise and ashes. Some spiciness, too. Aromatic hops and a hint of alcohol in the finish. Some acidity, but not at all sweet - has even some lambic-like character. Medium-bodied, dryish, ashy palate with low carbonation. A very nice brew with personality. Not the most refreshing, though.

Jun 14, 2006 33cl bottle from the brewery. Hazy dark gold beer with thick lasting white head. Delicate hop aroma. Lots of light fruits, citrus and floral notes. Attractive. Bit of biscuity malt. Sharp in mouth to start and then it softens. Delicate hop finish. I really like this. It has subtlety and elegence. Well done to all at Struise for another good beer. Fruits in particular are lovely.

Jun 5, 2006 Draught. Hazy white-gold in colour with a small white head. The aroma isn’t too big - it’s yeasty and only mildly fruity. The carbonation is sharp and lively. Cheesy yeast and sweet fruit flavours like pear.
