bottle, pours hazy yellow with a nice white head. Smells hoppy and sweet. Quite bitter for a blond. Some light malt and sweetness also. Not my favorite.

2008-12-20. Mruky golden yellow, good sized white head is fluffy. (3+) Aroma is lightly spciy/peppery, sweet yeasty undertones. Flavour leads with a spice/pepper character like that of the aroma, which tends to over shadow the pale malts that make up the base. Lovely sweet malt character in the middle could last longer for my liking. More pepper and spice, with some hoppy bitterness in the finish. Smooth average palate. Decent blonde. Bottle from BierTempel, Bruge

Bottle shared with and courtesy of Jerc and Mabel, Waterloo snowstorm December 08. Very hazy dark yellow, fluffy white head. Yeast, malt, spice aroma. Spicy peppery taste, some yeast, quite dry. Quenching. Very good.

Beautiful golden body with very fine "dust" in it, fine white head; Special and quite nice nose, clear malt aromas, very fine hop aromas and a pleasant Belgium yeast touch too, somehow the quite full malts takes some of the freshness away; Pleasant soft texture, big bubbled sharp carbonation, on slightly bitter balanced and very pleasant body; Long finish with lots of aromas malts and hops. Very drinkable beer, that should be drunk very fresh (fresher then the bottle I am rating, I think my bottle is 5 moth old) and then it actually is a very very nice beer.

33cl bottle from Barley Wine. It poured a pale orange, almost yellow colour with an enormous foamy head that settled down very slowly in the glass. It has a very malty aroma that also smells of hops and wheats. The flavour is bitter and slightly metallic and tastes of spices, malts. It has a short aftertaste. It reminds me alot of a wheat ale.

Bottle 33cl. @ home.
Light unclear medium yellow color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruity ala mango, light to moderate yeasty, spicy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration, a dry dry finish. Very nice balancede beer. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (220808)

Pours a murky golden blonde with a dissapearing white head. Aroma is hoppy and slightly metallic. Taste is very dry and hoppy, some grassy and straw tastes too with a bitter dry finish. Enjoyable, if not outstanding.
