Commercial Description:
"Vintage 2005"
Our PGR has aged for 24 months on oak barrels and has been bottled for the first time on the 27th of December 2007. The main difference with the Pannepot Reserva is that PGR matured the last ten months on Calvados oak barrels, adding extra complexity to the beer. We dedicate this beer as a tribute to Jeppe & Michael of Ølbutikken in Denmark. Those gentlemen were the first to discover our beers on an International basis back in 2004 and are responsable somehow for our beers being all over the globe since then. As a token of gratitude towards Jeppe & Michael, the first shipment of PGR was scheduled to Ølbutikken so they could be the first to launch its commercialisation.

Pours dark brown, with a kight brown head. Aroma is oak, fruit (apples seem to be most prominent), chocolate, alcohol, and malt. Flavor is fruit, oak, malt, molasses, and alcohol. Nice, but the regular Pannepot is better.

This one poured a dark brown color. The aroma is complex with some oak, chocolate, caramel, raisins, and alcohol. The flavor is rather sweet with some oak, vanilla, chocolate, molasses, and other dark fruits. This is good in small amounts but can get a bit too sweet. Some alcohol burn in the finish. Overall a great beer.

Thanks again moejuck: Mahogany pour. Very sweet smelling of dried fig, chocolate, oak, malt, and alcohol. Thick and syrupy mouthfeel, a little hot for my tastes, but flavor is complex- almost like a wine.

Big thanks to enjoyit for this bottle...for free! Visit his shop if you are in the area....Anyways. Brown pour with a thick brow head. Aroma was oaky with vanilla and thick malts. Flavor was oak, vanilla, peat, pear, and cherry. Slightly sweet finish, highly carbonated mouthfeel.

Appearance: Pours a clear, dark brown body with a wispy, persistent, off-white head. Smell: Aroma of dark malts and toasted oak wrapped up in a luscious, sweet-smelling raisin/plum syrup. Yes, I read Calvados, but for me it’s very port-like. Taste: Rich sweet maltiness! Flavors of simple syrup, dark caramel, light brown sugar, and a drop or three of molasses. Did I mention it’s sweet? A tiny kick of tartness accompanies the potent, port-like fruitiness and plays nicely alongside the sweetness. Underlying tastes of vanilla and oak. Sweet, fruity finish with a lingering taste of cane sugar. Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Mild carbonation. Drinkability: Quite nice! A superb creation. Can I take away PBR’s blue ribbon and give it to this beer?

33 cl bottle, vintage 2005. Almost black color, brown head. Aroma is lovely, with dark and dried fruits. Flavor has the same, with clear notes of oak. Very complex, with a small sourness in the finish. My rating #800.
