Commercial Description:
"Vintage 2005"
Our PGR has aged for 24 months on oak barrels and has been bottled for the first time on the 27th of December 2007. The main difference with the Pannepot Reserva is that PGR matured the last ten months on Calvados oak barrels, adding extra complexity to the beer. We dedicate this beer as a tribute to Jeppe & Michael of Ølbutikken in Denmark. Those gentlemen were the first to discover our beers on an International basis back in 2004 and are responsable somehow for our beers being all over the globe since then. As a token of gratitude towards Jeppe & Michael, the first shipment of PGR was scheduled to Ølbutikken so they could be the first to launch its commercialisation.

Thanks to RadioMGB for this one. Cloudy mahogany, tan head. Nose is caramel, honey, dark roasted malts & hops. Some mint & alcohol. Flavor is reduced maple syrup, alcohol. Woodiness dries it out w. dark fruits & tobacco. Loads of caramel in the finish with some english toffee.

Courtesy of kramer17801. Dark brown with a medium sized beige head. Cola, toffee nose with plums, light chocolate and golden fruits. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter with banana, clove, light pepper, candi sugar and toffee. Medium/full body is round with moderate carbonation.

Bottle from OldStyleCubFan. Pours dark brown with a beige head. The aroma is oak, spice, roast, and sugar. Not all that enticing. Oak dominates the flavor. Lots of vine fruit flavors. Alcohol hot. Medium body. High carbonation. Very dry finish. Not real sure why this beer gets such high marks.

Bottle, 33 cl. Very dark brown color, almost black, wiht great beige to light brown creamy head. Aroma dark malts, alcoholic, bit woody. Full body. Taste is WOW ! This is much better than the Westvleteren 12 ! Dark malts, bit sweet, caramel, little spice, some chocolate ?. Good alcohol warm feeling. Dry alcoholic, bit sweet finish. For Leen and myself the greatest beer on earth !

33 cl bottle, vintage 2005. Almost black color, brown head. Aroma is lovely, with dark and dried fruits. Flavor has the same, with clear notes of oak. Very complex, with a small sourness in the finish. My rating #800.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a dense long lasting beige creamy head. Ripe fruit, caramel, spices and balsamico in aroma. Creamy body. Flavour is very fruity and vinous and it contains notes of vanilla, prunes, spices and a bit very pleasant sourness. Great beer indeed.
