Many thanks to cgarvieuk for sharing this wondrous substance. Dark brown with a small off white head. Sweet malty toffee and candi sugar aroma. Here are some comments on that 10 out of 10 rating from those around me: haddonsman said poetically, ’It’s fighting to get out of the glass, tripping over itself.’ Then he added, with some bathos, ’Very acceptable.’ Madame SilkTork perceptively came up with ’Shortbread’. The taste was sweet, sugary and smooth with an edge of sourness. Some bitterness to follow. ’Wonderful,’ I wrote in my notes. Then, in different handwriting, I see I have written, ’Wonderful’ again, which was puzzling. Adenila (952), Denmark

Great expectations to this beer, and unfortunetly served late in the evening afte tons of other impressions. Great dark brown look with a bubbling light brown head. Aroma is a winner! Very vinouse and oaky along with dark fruits and apples, carmel and suger, tha bomb!
Would have enjoyed the flavor more, if i could try it out as the first beer one evening im sure. The alchohol is feels intense but is very well hidden behind the fruity and sugery sweetness which again is balanced by loads of woody and eartheren notes. Overall just a pure winner! Wonderful complex aroma of ripe yellow apples, vanilla, marzipan, wood, milk-caramel and raisins. Sweet acidulous fruity, woody and vinous taste. Lots of refined malts and notes om mild caramellish roastiness and brown sugar. Feel very soft and smooth in the mouth. Full-bodied with fruity-acidic end. Near perfection. marcbé (86), Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada

Pours a hazy dark brown with mahoghony highlights and a nice creamy tan head that persists; good lacing. Aroma has oak, spices, dark overripe and dried fruits, and earthy yeast. Subtle, but plenty there to ponder. Flavor is a near perfect blend of the components of the aroma; everything’s there in a wonderful harmony. One amazing flavor profile and mouthfeel, excellent complexity without being overly busy or disjointed; very well done! Thanks again Mike for the chance to try this amazing beer! Inscrutable black with barely no head. Starts with lot of licorice, developing in peppery, coffee, pears, wood casks, toffee, vanilla. Very elegant. In mouth is fantastic, mellow, with no edges, full of flavours. The thing amazed me about this beer is that you could either sip or swallow it, because in spite of that complexity, a strong and rounded body and a 10% abv, it remains very easy drinkable, with no traces of alcohol at all. Fantastic. grandgenie (252), gatineau, Quebec, Canada

Aroma is more delicate than the original Pannepot and the reserva that i like so much. Its has a touch of apple and a interesting sour edge. aftertaste is pure finesse. Encore Merci Carlos !
