Went searching in Europe twice with no luck. Pours dark red with a quick diminishing off-white head. Aroma was full of sweet dark fruits with a hint of alcohol. Starts sour and end in a wonderful sweetness. Medium bodied with nice carbonation. Well worth the wait. DSG (1515), Tel Aviv, Israel

Very dark brown color, almost opaque, with a medium, slowly-diminishing beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, some roastiness, some earth, some spices and dark fruits. Sweet flavor of malt and caramel, some oak, some spicy notes and dark fruits. More oak as it gets warmer. Finish feels a bit oxidized. Medium to full bodied. This beer has tons of character and still great drinkability. 8/4/9/5/17=4.3

Aroma is wonderful candi sugar, dark fruit, and some oak. Has a medium light mouthfeel with a lot of carbonation. Flavor showcases how this brew shines. It melds beautifully the roasted malt, candi sugar, caramel flavor, dark fruit, with the oak. Overall a very nice brew. One of the best I’ve had in the style.
