Its got a vibrant quality to it that exemplifies the complex flavors it contains. The nose is amazing, with a complex blend of barrel (woody and oaky, not that generic smoothness you often get with the pretenders), mild vanilla, rich and varied spices. The mouthfeel is amazingly silky, and the way that the regular Pannepot (itself a superlative beer) has been transformed is just a delight, with mild sour flavors enriching it. Awesome. I hope I have another chance to try this sometime. Jerre (1755), Waregem, Belgium

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 12, 2009 Medium sized tan head with good retention and fair lacing. Hazy, brown with a copper hue. Nose is chock full of rather dark fruits, raisins, plums, notes of caramel and berries, light lumber notes and a hint musty, faint alcohol also. Big in body, oily on the palate with a soft carbonation though a light prickly sensation is noted. Fruity flavors, chocolatey notes, wood, light spices, caramel and a nice earthyness. Lightly sweet, fruity finish, alcohol is well represented in a good way, of course ;) A BIG tastey brew thats well worth the price. Bottle procured @statelineliquors.
