Commercial Description:
Pannepøt (read Pannepeut) is a beer specially brewed and named as a wink to the Danish market presented at the Danish beer festival 'Københavnske Øldage 2006' exclusively at Ølbutikkens stand. It is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs that drink their products daily. Pannepøt has later been available on draught and bottles at bars and shops in Belgium & Denmark. Since winter 2006, this beer's popularity kept growing in Belgium at such a level that the production today equals Pannepot.

Fantastic beer. Another bottle from Uber Tavern taken to go this time. OPens with a light nose of brown sugar and alcohol. Color is cloudy, dusty brown - very interesting to watch. Plenty of sediment, too. Looks like it was oak-aged. Flavor for me was very clear: caramel, butter, salt, and violets up front into green raisins, red wine, hints of oak and figs to finish. Really quite something; due to its consistency, probably easier drinking than its darker cousin.

Picked this up at WLV Liquors. Pours dark reddish brown with thin light tan head. Nice aroma of spices, caramel, toffee, candied suger and dark fruits. Flavor is wunderful with caramel, sweet malt, suger, dark fruit, spices, toffee and a touch of chocolate. With out a dought the best BSA that I have ever had. No yeast notes which makes this brew so good. Very complex and has some nice barley wine qualities with out hops. Hides alcohol very well. What a beautiful brew. Cant wait to try regular Pannepot.

Thank you to ajm for splitting the bottle. Poured a murky brown/amber with a thick head of tan foam and noticable sediment at the bottom of the glass. Plenty of alcohol and brown sugar on the nose. Loaded with cinnamon, caramel, and butter. Quite a treat.

330ml Bottle: Sweet aroma. Smells vinous, with notes of candi sugar, dark fruit, grapes, caramel, and malts. Poured medium brown/dark ruby in color with a small, dense, beige that diminished. Cloudy. No lacing. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of candi sugar, yeast, light spices, alcohol, dark fruits, raisins, and port wine. Medium body. Oily, then chalky texture. No carbonation. Sweet, fruity finish. Very drinkable.

Very murky brown color. Instant aroma of dark fruits. Excellent mouthfeel of mild chocolate and heavy spices. Small hints of alchohol linger. Deliciously balanced.

Brownish color with a medium head. Aroma is sweet and brown sugary - lots of belgian malt and smooth fruit essence. Flavor is really nice with some light spice, sugar, and dark & sweet fruits. Not quite as good as the regular Pannepot, but a solid beer nonetheless.

Excellent beer, very complex, rose wine like beer. Great beer, will come back to this one time and again.

Bottle: A dark mahogany ruby color with an almost crimson hue. A light head, light carbonation and obviously light lacing. The nose is lighter than I expected; some basic chewy fruits, fig, cherry, juniper and some yeast. The flavor is a bit more of what I wanted, some chewy rye, light metallic note, but a sweet and savory ride with a hint of fruit and bitterness in the tail. Very little alcohol notes. Excellent.
