12/04/2008: Pannepøt looks thick and creamy on the pour. It is dark mahogany in color with a beige-tan head. The aroma is sweet and spicy and contains caramel, a tringe of alcohol, and port-like characteristics. This beer also tastes sweet and malty and has additional flavors included such as chocolate, chickory, earthy and herbal hops (mild), vanilla, and a dry finish. The flavors stays with you long after swallowing. The beer has a medium-full body and feels soft and creamy in the mouth. It is quite delicious and warming.
11.2 fl. oz. bottle (10% alc./vol.). Rating #468 for this beer.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 26, 2009 (2006 Vintage) Thin head with light carbonation. I expected more carbonation from this brew. A bit on the flat side. Rich aroma with lots of spices, sweet malts, caramel and some ripe dark plums. Color is a cloudy dark mahagony red. Very soft and velvety palate. Chewy malts, caramel, raisins, more spice and some yeast. Lots and lors of malts. I had the other Pannepot earlier today and a must say that I like that one much better. More complex and less overwealmed by malts. Noticable alcohol presence but does not seem hot at all. Finishes creamy and smooth and malty. A very tasty malt bomb. Pretty good but not as good as the other Pannepot. Pinball (3003), Allerød, Denmark

mild aroma of raisins, sweet malts, dark fruits, candi sugar.
flavor is sweet, spicy, raisins, dark fruits, good alc. punch , throat burning, faint sweet malts. you can´t really taste the alc, only feel it. this one you can’t drink quick, it’s a sip by sip experience. very nice belgian. LanceUppercut (133), Sweden
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 9, 2009 A faint, chocolaty aroma of belgian yeast and spices. Taste is complex, sweet and vinous, and contains spices, dried fruit and yeast. Palate is fizzy and oily to some extent. The finish is a bit acidic and dry and the alcohol comes through a little bit. A good brew in it’s complexity and well-balanced sourness, but it is a little bit overwhelming in its spiciness. Aging maybe? FlyingTaco (112), Massachusetts, USA

Beautiful dark chestnut body with ample carbonation. Chewy, maple walnut ice cream-colored head dissipates quickly and exhibits sufficient lacing.
Mildly soapy hop presence - brown sugar cinnamon with ginger and sarsparilla - a little tin presence when cold.
Creamy - almost like ice cream with strong spice profile of cinnamon, ginger root, sarsparilla in the chewy braised-like malt. Tough to shake the tinniness but after a while warming it starts to dissipate. Slight smoke and wood chips emerge with warmth.
Extremely hearty and chewy mouthfeel...like a warm caramel apple sundae. Tight grip, almost tangy.
Overall very enjoyable parts of the offering but they aren’t necessarily synced up with each other as well as would be desired; strong effort nonetheless.
