Commercial Description:
Pannepøt (read Pannepeut) is a beer specially brewed and named as a wink to the Danish market presented at the Danish beer festival 'Københavnske Øldage 2006' exclusively at Ølbutikkens stand. It is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs that drink their products daily. Pannepøt has later been available on draught and bottles at bars and shops in Belgium & Denmark. Since winter 2006, this beer's popularity kept growing in Belgium at such a level that the production today equals Pannepot.

11.2 oz bottle, 2006 vintage, from trade with Papsoe. Pours a dark, copper-brown. A thin off-white head dissipated quickly except for a ring around the edge of the glass which produced some lacing. Aroma of sweet bread and dark fruit. Flavor of vinous and dark fruit with raisins prominent. Spices and alcohol also present in the taste. Mouthfeel is medium with slight bittersweet finish. A pleasure to drink.

Pours a deep, cloudy brown color with ruby highlights into the trappist glass. Scnets of plums, raisins, yeast and malt dominate the nose. The first taste offers several flavorful spices, with caramel, malt and some dried fruits. Excellent mouthfeel with a strong alcohol finish. The 10% shows itself more as the beer warms.

Hazy dark brown color; thin creamy head. The aroma is not too strong, with some caramel and malt, late liquorice. The body is quite thick, oily, sweet; with basically caramel flavor and a quite strong presence of sweet liquorice. There is a light alcohol perception at the end. The bitterness is medium-low, otherwise I would recommend to store it for longer. I’m not fully convinced by this one (maybe because the sweet liquorice aftertaste still sticks in my mouth).

Brown and thick. Smells like cherries and dates. Complex, yet light on the palate, I get tastes of cherries, then sourdough bread, followed by raisins and ending with a slightly bitter sweet finish.

Pours deep brown into a tulip. Tan micro head leaves spot lacing as it slowly recedes to skim surface. Apricot and pear aromas. Sticky sweet figs, pear and pit fruit from front to back with a malty, slightly alcoholic burn in the finish. Definitely a sipper.

Clear deep amber in colour, small but lingering tan coloured head, light lacing. The aroma is quite rich, lots of candied sugar, fruit cake with only some light alcohol. The flavour is quite sweet, lots of fruit - cherries mainly - some malt, chocolate, smooth and rich. Creamy mouthfeel, medium body, mild carbonation. Finishes long, smooth and creamy. Incredible beer, quite warming. No noticeable alcohol. Quite complex, excellent balance.
