Commercial Description:
Pannepøt (read Pannepeut) is a beer specially brewed and named as a wink to the Danish market presented at the Danish beer festival 'Københavnske Øldage 2006' exclusively at Ølbutikkens stand. It is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs that drink their products daily. Pannepøt has later been available on draught and bottles at bars and shops in Belgium & Denmark. Since winter 2006, this beer's popularity kept growing in Belgium at such a level that the production today equals Pannepot.

Pours dark reddish brown with a mostly receding tan head. Aroma of brown sugar, cherry, caramelized wort, cypress. Taste is sweet malt, cherries, winey fruit qualities, pine, vinous chocolate. Mouthfeel is full bodied, with a dry alcohol thiness and lush carbonation. Very delicious.

2006 bottle from tytoanderso; Nose of banana, vanilla, caramel, and dark fruit; clear rusty brown with a medium beige head; flavor sweet brown sugar, caramel, fig newtons, and light spices. Not as complex and spicy as my favorite Pannepot which I had to sample alongside this one. Great but not superb!

draught at Ølbaren, copenhagen. murky amber, medium, lasting head. aroma reminded me of weizenbock - rotting banana, whiteboard markers. quite sweet, some caramel, apple, light spiciness and a touch of sourness. plenty of interesting characteristics but perhaps a little lacking in depth

Dark brown, with a thin head that dissipates quickly. Rich malty aroma, with a strong alcohol aroma. Heavy body, with a sweet malt flavor. Very smooth but, not as complex as marketed.

Bottle huge thanks to beeranarchist. Against a normal pannepot. Aroma is vanilla, with lorads of raisin candy sugar, dark fruits, vanilla bean. Taste is sweet dark fruits, raisin, slight roasty character. Alround a super complex ale thats very tasty, however not pannepot.

Pours a cloudy chestnut brown color, almost no head. Aroma is grainy, maple-syrupy sweet, and herbal. Very little alcohol on the nose. Palate is medium-bodied. The taste mostly sweet with the herbal notes coming through on the finish, fighting through the syrup. A bit of sour on the finish almost. Seems sweeter and a bit less thicker than the regular Pannepot.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark mahogany with beige head. The aroma is whisky, black cherry, sweet caramel, little bits of clove and anise. The flavor is very fruity right off. Lots of black cherry, plum, white wine, figs. Then some spiciness and bitter chocolate kick in. It gets spicier and woodier toward the finish. It ends with some alcohol, wood, and caramel. This is quite a tasty brew.
