Aroma is grainy, maple-syrupy sweet, and herbal. Very little alcohol on the nose. Palate is medium-bodied. The taste mostly sweet with the herbal notes coming through on the finish, fighting through the syrup. A bit of sour on the finish almost. Seems sweeter and a bit less thicker than the regular Pannepot. tronraner (1939), Seymour, Tennessee, USA

The aroma is whisky, black cherry, sweet caramel, little bits of clove and anise. The flavor is very fruity right off. Lots of black cherry, plum, white wine, figs. Then some spiciness and bitter chocolate kick in. It gets spicier and woodier toward the finish. It ends with some alcohol, wood, and caramel. This is quite a tasty brew. Taste is slightly sour, caramel, sweet. Very, very nice. I freaking like this beer. very thin, watery body, but not overly, just eminently drinkable. 10% no way! Starts to pick up some heat in aroma as it warms. Lowe1983 (1029), Fairborn, Ohio, USA

Flavor is of dark fruits , toffee, spices, yeast, and a decent alcohol warming on the finish. Pretty impressed with this brew as well as the regular Pannepot. aracauna (2427), Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 14, 2007 This is an interesting one. It’s a little funky, but not sour in any way. There’s a lot of dried fruits, dates especially. There’s a bit of toasted nuts and a heavy sweetness. It’s a little sticky. ChainGangGuy (2619), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 13, 2007 Appearance: Pours a hazy, dark brown body with a small, light beige head.
Smell: Sweet-smelling, candied fruit aroma of cherries and figs. Strong notes of treacle. A jigger full of spiced rum.
Taste: Sweet, bready toffee maltiness laced with sugary treacle. The fruits carry over from the scent and join the sweet mixture in a taste like melted lollipops. Soft cinnamon spiciness. Subdued yeast character. Very sweet, candyish finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: I enjoyed it. As for you, well, I hope you like your beers sweet. KimJohansen (7303), Copenhagen V, Denmark
