Commercial Description:
Pannepøt (read Pannepeut) is a beer specially brewed and named as a wink to the Danish market presented at the Danish beer festival 'Københavnske Øldage 2006' exclusively at Ølbutikkens stand. It is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs that drink their products daily. Pannepøt has later been available on draught and bottles at bars and shops in Belgium & Denmark. Since winter 2006, this beer's popularity kept growing in Belgium at such a level that the production today equals Pannepot.

Pours a five-finger+ light tan pillowy head that fades slowly leaving a good lace. Black color. Sweet spicy nose. Light-medium carbonation and very heavy bodied. Flavor is sweet, spicy and complex; high ABV is hidden. Clean finish. I don’t see anything wrong with it. $5.20 for a 330ml bottle from Tully’s Beer & Wine Wells, Me.

Dark brown/red pour with tan head. Aroma is of yeast, sugar, bubblegum, dried fruits. Flavor is of the same. Fizzy on the palate and very full bodied. After taste is tangy and fruity and lingers. Simply amazing brew.

The 330ml brown bottle gives up its deep murky brown treasure, which produces a tan head that fades rather quickly, leaving a thin covering upon the glass. The aroma of plums and spices stands out amongst the cotton candy sweetness, caramel, and a smattering of bread dough and fusel alcohol, bit of oak like sourness also breaks through, what a treat for the schnozzle. Front is decidedly sweet, grain presence perfect, bit of burnt toast and a hint of bitterness at the back, mouth feel almost full. Finish benign in its acidity, hops light but noticeable, alcohol well disguised, that’s scary, very dry, reminds me of the 7 year old Samichlaus I sampled the other day, this brew is a real tummy warmer, and also gets a “Whoa Nellie” from me.

I don’t know what’s the difference with the other brew, but skortila managed to obtain a big bottle of this (probably just thinking it to be the regular pannepot). But taste was the same to my opinion: sweet, dried fruits, malts. Delicious again.

a magnificent aroma which filled the room when we poured this out of the 750ml bottle. Aroma of spices, malts, caramel, apples, dry fruits, simply awesome. Palate is a tad spicy with a malty cocoa chocolate finish. To my surprise this is incredibly balanced and well masked, and not over sugary. A world class belgian!!

Bottle from Capone’s. Turbid burny umber pour with 1-finger off-white head. There were ruby notes through direct light with this, and the lace remained forever. The aroma was a pinnacle of olfactory delights, featuring brown sugary figs, cherry, caramelly malt, spices, berries, chocolate, and gingerbread. The palate was rich, complex as hell, very unique with all the berries and figgy fruits floating around all over the taste buds, plus some brown sugary spices and dark chocolate notes. This one was excellent.

330ml bottle thanks to Padrefan98. I was very excited to try the best-beer-in-the-world’s little sister. And I wasn’t disappointed. Sweet aromas off the brown and ruby beer with a great head. Some cherry and some dried fruit. More of the same on the flavor. Chocolate comes through as well. Wonderful.

Pours brown in color with little to no head that is gone after a few moments. Smell is very rich, dark fruits and some alcohol as well. There are some raisins making there presence known as well. Wow, this is a good beer. Incredibly complex and smooth. There’s a bit of sweetness in the taste. Mouthfeel is medium, but it basically dances in your mouth then runs down your throat. Perfect amount of carbonation, almost perfect on the mouthfeel. This is a pure enjoyment to drink.
