slimchill (616), Austin, Texas, USA Sep 19, 2007 Updated: Feb 12, 2008Bottle. Very nice champagne sweet nose, apple esters and slight sourness. Clear golden with a thick fluffy white head leaving nice lacing. Wonderful palate, smooth as silk bringing grape and honey notes, finishing extremely clean. Augustijn55 (82), Izegem, Belgium Sep 15, 2006 Amber pale ale color. Sweet and medium bodied with soft, mouthfeel. Pleasant and somewhat unusual.
I’ll prefere de struise witte. thedm (3405), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Oct 9, 2004 The DM & Hotstuff’s European Honeymoon trip beer number 35. This bottled brew from the ’t Brugs Beertje pub in Brugge poured a unnoted head that left behind a dark black brown colored semi-opaque body and an excellent lacing. It had a dark malt molasses aroma with a strong port like vinous note. The mouth feel was good and smooth initially then finished with a strong vinous note. The flavor was also port like strongly vinous and malty. Hmm, I had this with Joris and his description seems to be different than mine. I wonder if we got one switched around? mucom (36), Netherlands Feb 21, 2005 Hazy gold amber colred beer with huge white endless head. Aromas of chees, notes of fruit. Very sweet taste, malty touch and getting more fruity and honeyish at the end. illinismitty (1397), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Aug 16, 2008 Bottle shared by grimreeser. Pours orange with an off white head. Great nose of sweet banana and belgian esters. Lighter side of medium bodied. Nice light citrus, banana, and nutty flavors, but not too heavy. Refreshing but full of flavor. Great session beer
