Bottled. Thanks a lot Carlo and Urbain for this bottle that I got for my 40th birthday. A hazy golden beer with a big lazing orangey head. The aroma has strong notes of spices among them nutmeg, alcohol, fruit - peaches, and some yeast. The flavor is sweet with notes of spices - coriander, nutmeg, and others, malt, caramel, yeast, and fruit, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours a cloudy deep amber with a solid and creamy off-white head leaving a neat lacework. Intense fruity aroma with lots of esters and some phenols. Medium body, fruit, yeast and an edge of cough syrup - a little caramel also. Rather hoppy finish where the alcohol also becomes rather evident. Not a bad beer at all but not as complex as the best from Struise. 121109

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Mild fruity and citrusy hops aroma, solid butterish note too. Flavour is mild fruity and hoppy. Subdued caramel malt base. Smooth peachy and light citrusy flavoured. Dry and bitter flavoured finish. Flavour does hide the diacetyl, it is distinct but somehow it doesn’t disturb the impression overly much.

Bottle 33cl.
Unclear medium orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, toffee and butter notes, moderate to heavy hoppy, grass, citrus, hop dusty, sour - tart. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet, light to moderate acidic and light heavy bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090306]

Bottle, 12%. Good grassy hop aroma. Cloudy dark yellow colour. Small frothy white head. The flavour is quite hoppy, caramelly and grassy. Finishes more on the grassy side. There is a distinct sweetness, but it is balanced well by the alcohol.

Bottled (thanks fonefan!). Golden colour with particles floating around. Mediumsized foamy head. Aroma is hops, some grass and some herbal notes as well. Flavour is quite much the same along with some sweet malts and mild yeasty notes. Pleasantly balanced. Big grassy aftertaste.

Thanks Patrik! Muddy light tan-brown. Surprisingly thick head for such a strong beer. Floral US hop aroma (amarillo?) leans towards perfumey. Some modest sugars also make their presence felt. On the palate, this is a full-bodied brew with dusty yeast, light phenolic notes, bright mandarin hops and wood. Good strong ale.
