750 ml bottle shared generously by Eric at his holiday bash. Pours a cloudy orange with a thick foamy white head. A very nice nose of spices, cloves especially, light wood, bread and light malt. The flavor was excellent, initial wood and sweet citrus flavors, some near apricot sweetness, followed by s spicy banana flavor, some tangy flavors also. Very nice. Excellent. A nice carbonated and soft mouthfeel.

Bottle @ PlanB ØJ-dag. Pours a hazy light amber with a tiny diminishing white head. Smells of fruits and alcohol. Sweet and malty with aromas of fruits and a hint of glue. Also hints of bread and alcohol. Medium to full bodied. Almost no carbonation. Bitter hops in the finish plus hints of sour malts and alcohol.

Drank right after the Tsjeeses, and I think I am one of the few that prefers the original. Lighter color, hazy orange with another nice white head, more soapy this time and still loads of lacing. Very refreshing nose, more sour than tripel with the lactic and fruit dominating. The flavor is more like the regular Tsjeeses, tripel qualities returning while sweetly balanced with orange. The alcohol is also more of a factor, slightly distracting. A little stickier and dryer than the Tsjeeses, though still full bodied, smooth, and alive. Finish is more lactic, still rather long. This is delicious, but I think the brilliantly restrained harmony and sheer grape delight of the Tsjeeses have been lost while aging.

Bottle. Big thanks to MrChopin for this treat. Aroma of sweet fruits, jackfruit. Starts off sweet with fruit tones followed by vanilla oak and a perfect hop bitter finish. Wonderful

Fresh bottle back-to-back with the not-Reserva. Unexplosive conditioning for Struise- puffs anticlimactically open with an unmessy hiss, all the beer kept in the bottle. Didnt even need the Hoey pintpot this time. Deep honey amber with a slick stable head and specks of lace. M/f slick and velvety as before. Mellower, cleaner, more grape and fig-sodden aroma approaching 5* Metaxa brandy. Apricot jam, ginger and freshly chopped oak. Seriously fine-smelling ale. Bulbous juicy stonefruit, ripe nectarine, fig, creamy vanilla brandy and oak smokiness. Evil fig and brandy milkshake palate without a sniff of booze. Again some soapy spice which could include ginger, aniseed or cardamom, but im looking for it. Much more integrated brew than the 2yr old Tsjeeses. A lovely ripe Stille Nacht shandy of a beer.

From bottle at 14e Kerstbierfestival, Essen. Amber-coloured, small head. Fruity aroma with hints of apricot. Apricot, hints of wood, quite sweet and fruity. Highly enjoyable.

Bottle. Orange brown color. Anis, pear and lychee in the aroma. Vanilla, oak, anis, orange peels, coreander, calvados and butter in the malty sweet flavor. Good complexity, satisfyingly balanced. Vanilla and lychee in the aftertaste.
