Tasting with Casey, Traci, Craig, Stella and Loz 27-09-08 this bottle brought along by Craig Pours mid amber with a wonderful clarity and a lovely white lacy head. light and spicy nose with good yeasty notes. Bit tingly on the tongue and also tart, some light vanilla and then there is also a nice lemony citrus push, lovely.

Multiple glasses at Ebs Belgian fest. Pours a nice light coppery gold with a good white head and lingering lace. Nice sweet aroma without being cloying, awesoem belgian yeast character- smooth phenolics and restrained fruity esters, vanilla hints, with a peppery bite, smooth oak. Moderately sweet flavor but dries out a bit in the end, lots of full fresh bready belgian doughy malts, peppery hitns, and almost a pear- apple estery fruitiness and a phenolic yeasty kick in the end. Smooth as hell and rediculously easy to drink for such a strong beer. Much better than anticipated- and one of my new favorite tripels. Reminded me a bit of Dulle Teve reserva- but this was quite a bit better.

Botella. Golden orange hazy colour. Medium beige head. Good lacing. Aroma of sweet ripe fruits, malt and alcohol. Very good mouthfeel. The flavour has a pleasant fruity sweetness with yeast, some wood, malt and a nice mild bitterness.

TFODRBSG08 Courtesy of Brugmansia. It’s hazy orange and the head is nice and creamy. The aroma has a light sweetness and a lot of fruits, a little yeast and very little oak. The flavour has sweetness, notes of candy sugar, malt, fruit, citrus and very little oak. It’s smooth, sweet and ends on a dry, citrussy note.

Draft @ Ebenezer’s. Pours a bright, intense orange-tinged golden color; thin off-white head with fine-bubbled lacing. Loads of honey, white pepper, and complex yeast in the aroma; gorgeous, dry peppery notes; touches of vanilla and toastiness; restrained alcohol. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: relaxed carbonation; gorgeous amounts of white pepper, honey and toasty, dry yeastiness; some floral and herbal notes, and dry toastiness. Very drinkable, mouthwatering beer. Great stuff. Medium finish: pepper, dry yeast, and toasty malts; very slight oakiness.

Bottle at Ulfborg RB tasting. Courtesy of Brugmansia. The colour is cloudy amber with a longlasting white head. Spicy and hoppy aroma with fruity notes. Flavour is spicy with coriander and fruity hops. Complex beer indeed.

Draft at Ebenezers Struise Week. Pretty nice oak aged tripel. Oak shines through without becoming overbearing. Gets a little hot in the aroma as it warms. I’d like to rerate this one in the future.
