Bottle Orange/amber body. Frothy, off-white head. Quite fastly diminishing. Lots of yeast particles. Aroma of apple, caramel, citrus, brandy, grappa, bourbon, white wine (alsace like - gewurtztraminer/pinot gris): very complex and extremely well balanced. Moderately sweeet, lightly bitter flavour consisting mainly of caramel flavours with a malty touch. Very nice, well balanced flavour with a nice complexity.

33cl bottle, unclear cloudy brown with floaties, nice smooth offwhite head. vinous aroma, aslo nuts, malts, notes of what could be brett. flavor is soft, blended, very good, vanilla, wood, spices, fruits, it all is so mixed up and balanced and soft that it’s a big pleasure to drink. very tasty. You don’t notice the 10% abv at all. finish is a bit more bitter and alcoholic than the flavor, but it suits the beer very well.

Poured a tijuana river yellow. Nose was very faint in oakiness with a giant bready yeast. Taste was very true to smell, small oak tastes, bit on bread and yeast with a pleasant hint of peach.

(Bottle, Gollem, Amsterdam, 2 Aug 2009) Cloudy orangey brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with notes of dried fruit (apricots, raisins), brown sugar and hints of oak and vanilla. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, dried apricots, burnt sugar, hints of wood lurking in the background and a spicy, malty, slightly vinous finish. Full body, sweet with a balanced spicy bitterness. Tasty, warming and very nice beer.

Bottle, thanks Keith! Pours cloudy gold/orange, with a white head. Aroma is oak, yeast, and some spices. Flavor is fruit, spices, yeast, alcohol, oak, and a little bit of hops. Medium to heavy body. None of the flavors come jumping out at you, but the subtlety of all of them together make this work for me.

Bottle. Hazy copper red with a thick and creamy white head. Fruit, yeast and spices in aroma. The flavour is really complex with hops and peppery spices. Mouthfeel and body is just perfect.
