Bottle, thanks Keith! Pours cloudy gold/orange, with a white head. Aroma is oak, yeast, and some spices. Flavor is fruit, spices, yeast, alcohol, oak, and a little bit of hops. Medium to heavy body. None of the flavors come jumping out at you, but the subtlety of all of them together make this work for me.

Bottle. Hazy copper red with a thick and creamy white head. Fruit, yeast and spices in aroma. The flavour is really complex with hops and peppery spices. Mouthfeel and body is just perfect.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured hazy copper color with a large frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Complex spicy fruit and yeast aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy fruity balanced flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration with a small alcohol bite. This is a standout beer.

33cl bottle. Pours a cloudy orange colour with big creamy off-white head. Head is good lacing and mostly lasting. Thick density with sediments. Aroma is lots of malt, bread, cookie and nutty with some hops and flowers too. Hints of prune and alcohol. Flavor is initially very sweet with little acidic. Finish is long with moderate acidity, moderate bitterness and little sweetness. Palate is medium-full with creamy texture and lively carbonation. It’s warming with it’s final sensation of light alcohol. Great Tripel.

Time to catch up before BCTC. On tap at Spuyten Duyvil big beer fest. Warm leathery sugary aroma. Candy sugar w tobacco bitterness and bitter finish. Pretty good.

Bottle tried side by side with the regular version. Pours a hazy deep orange amber with a good sized off white head leaving some spotty lacing. Nose of neutral oak, citrus, banana, and light clove spice. Flavors of slightly sweetened oak, with some citrus and banana, again a big yeasty finish .

Sampled at the Struise brewery in Belgium poured from a 750 in May 08, now again from a bottle I brought home today. Pours a Dirty straw brown color w/ lots of visible carbonation and a bit of sediment along w/ a perfect thick off white head w/ great lacing. Aroma is light orange zest some apricot, some light pepper, allspice, and a hint of wood. Nice creamy well coated palate. Flavor is much more spiced than I remember. Lots of peppers some orange zest lots of caramel, a light dry oaky finish. Very nice beer.
