At May Ratebeer London Gathering at Chris O’s. Hazy caramel colour with a small white head. Sweet fruity alcoholic aroma with some glue (Thanks for that prompt, Chris). The aroma scores a rare 10. Sweet caramel taste, quite fizzy, and leading into a sour, bitter finish with orange peel. My top beer of the Gathering: a wonderful experience. I’m privileged to have tried it.

Bottle, 75cl, courtesy of Brugmansia. It pours an orange-golden hazy body with a nice off-white head on top. Balanced and in a strange way slightly boring nose with lemon, malty sweetness and a sourish touch. The flavor is lovely sweet and sourish with some spices added. Really balanced, and with a slightly spicy finish. Full-bodied and almost sticky sweet, quite effervescent. A really balanced and delightful beer. (080823)
