thornecb (1226), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Dec 2, 2008 Pours deep chunky gold into a tulip. Offwhite head recedes to skim surface. Apple and pear aromas. Tingly upfront with sour apple turning to a pleasingly viscous apple pie filling. I want another. Suttree (2404), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Dec 1, 2008 Muddy brown, thick beige head. Very fruity aroma - lots of cherry, plum, peach smells. Flavor is also sweet and fruity, but a particularly agreeable sweet flavor. Usually a beer this sweet would be kinda tedious, but i really liked it. As it warms, some pineapple notes emerge, and finally some sage-like notes and a winey finish. Scauca (293), Lovere, Italy Dec 1, 2008 Hazy lumpy golden with a nice thick vanishing white head. Sweet weak nose. Some spices. Flavours are also quite hidden to be fair, but has a fantastic creamy, velvety palate if cold, quite burning mouthfeel as it warms. Travlr (115), Washington, Washington DC, USA Nov 28, 2008 No aroma to speak of. Lots of competing flavors here - sour lemon, orange, cinnamon. I may ave to try this one again.... douglas88 (939), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Nov 26, 2008 330 ml bottle from the Bayou. Pours out a cloudy orange color with a small white head. A very nice aroma of apples, some spices, and a lot of woody notes. The taste was very nice; sort of a warm and mellow brew, citrus flavors, apples, a dry yeasty flavor full of mellow barrel aged aspects. Very enjoyable. As it warmed it was much more flavorful and fruity. Drink it at 12 degrees maybe more. A fizzy mouthfeel. Very enjoyable.
