Commercial Description:
Deep to orange blond abbey triple winterbeer which has been lagered for 8 months on different stonefruits. Tsjeeses was born out of a 5 year brew experience regarding x-mas beer without being capable of finding a suitable name up to now. With the name came a face, a caricature actually, that was drawn on the day Urbain, our brew master and master brewer, drank too many Tsjeeses's. Every time he drinks one, he says "Tsjeeses, what a beer". Therefore the name is more an expression of stupefaction than a curse. We have had already many discussions around the pronounciation of "Tsjeeses". Very close would be that you say "cheeses" or cheese in plural.

Pours deep chunky gold into a tulip. Offwhite head recedes to skim surface. Apple and pear aromas. Tingly upfront with sour apple turning to a pleasingly viscous apple pie filling. I want another.

Muddy brown, thick beige head. Very fruity aroma - lots of cherry, plum, peach smells. Flavor is also sweet and fruity, but a particularly agreeable sweet flavor. Usually a beer this sweet would be kinda tedious, but i really liked it. As it warms, some pineapple notes emerge, and finally some sage-like notes and a winey finish.

Hazy lumpy golden with a nice thick vanishing white head. Sweet weak nose. Some spices. Flavours are also quite hidden to be fair, but has a fantastic creamy, velvety palate if cold, quite burning mouthfeel as it warms.

Bottle poured by the man on the label, at the schoolhouse. Slightly cloudy amber orange with a white head that settles quickly. Aroma of stonefruits. Actually, that’s not true, because I don’t know what a stonefruit is, actually. Flavor starts malty and progresses through spice and dark fruits to a slightly bitter finish. Medium body. It was very special to drink this one with the master himself. Thank you Urbain!!!

330 ml bottle from the Bayou. Pours out a cloudy orange color with a small white head. A very nice aroma of apples, some spices, and a lot of woody notes. The taste was very nice; sort of a warm and mellow brew, citrus flavors, apples, a dry yeasty flavor full of mellow barrel aged aspects. Very enjoyable. As it warmed it was much more flavorful and fruity. Drink it at 12 degrees maybe more. A fizzy mouthfeel. Very enjoyable.

11.2oz bottle. Poured a medium and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Lots of suspended floaters. Aromas of yeast, bready, some fruitiness, and some spices. The bready/yeastiness dominates. Tastes of fruitiness (apples with some pears), bready and some spices.

Bottled. Pours hazy orange with an tiny, short lasting, off-white head. Malty nose with bread, cookies, light flowery hops and heavy yeast with notes of abricot, apple, pear and caramel. Full bodied, creamy texture. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and slightly bitter finish.

330ml bottle (Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam)
Bit of a gusher. Rich orange, small head. Sweet slightly sour beery aroma, a bit dusty, and a bit plasticky. Anna says nuts, I don’t get. Quite full bodied - loads of rich malts, and a real slap in the face from noble hops. Fairly yeasty and spicy - and some pleasant apricot and peach hints. Unfortunately the sticky sweetness is a bit cloying after a while; like many belgians they’d need to tone down the candy sugar to appeal to my palate. It’s pretty well balanced, between malt, hops, and spices, so the whole thing works quite well. Everything hangs around for a long and warming finish. However, as you can guess from that additional adjective, it’s also a bit too alcoholic. Not to the extent of being boozy, but it’s pretty noticeable.
