Commercial Description:
Deep to orange blond abbey triple winterbeer which has been lagered for 8 months on different stonefruits. Tsjeeses was born out of a 5 year brew experience regarding x-mas beer without being capable of finding a suitable name up to now. With the name came a face, a caricature actually, that was drawn on the day Urbain, our brew master and master brewer, drank too many Tsjeeses's. Every time he drinks one, he says "Tsjeeses, what a beer". Therefore the name is more an expression of stupefaction than a curse. We have had already many discussions around the pronounciation of "Tsjeeses". Very close would be that you say "cheeses" or cheese in plural.

2009-06-26. Golden amber body with modest beige head. (3+) Aroma of spice over sweet malt, mild yeast, alcohol grows as it warms, touch of pepper. Flavour is similar, spice, light pepper, touch of spice is coriander like. Pleasant light bitterness goes hand in hand with the alcohol. Lingering herbal fruitiness in the finish. Average plus bodied palate is pleasantly carbonated. Decent. Bottle, from Premier Gourmet, Buffalo

hazy golden pour. sweeeet malts and some bready sugars. some fruits as well, apricot and peach. Mouth is a shock of molasses and sweet nectar fruits. A little bit of booze on the finish but otherwise its well masked. mouthfeel is very creamy and smooth and the finish is a bit prickly with the alcohol.

Dark hazy amber with smallish white head. Aroma is bready perfume, citrus, and sweet malt. Banana and clove come through as well as angelfood cake. Flavor is sweet caramel and fruit, banana, and nectar. Extremely pronounced and flavorful. Some bready biscuit notes come through as well as some yummy citrus. Palate is smooth and rich- phenomenal for the style. Perhaps the best tripel I’ve had yet.

Hazy golden pour with small white head. Aroma holds lots of sweet malt, bread, spice- light but delicious. Flavor is superb; light brown sugar, bread, sweet molasses, spices- incredibly tasty. Mouthfeel is wondrous, has a nice tinge of alcohol, and a bit of dryness on the finish. Superb abbey tripel, maybe the best I’ve had to date.

Bottle started to foam over, so I had to pour fairly quickly and ended up with a lot of floaters. Aroma is very bready. Flavor is yeast, bread, a subtle cinnamon and other spices. This drinks very smooth and nicely. If not for all of the yeast floaters the palate would be quite nice.

33 cl bottle from Buffalohead. Clear gold with a bubbly, big, champagne like head that settles pretty fast. Lots of fruity aromas, peaches, apricots, etc. dominate the aroma, but some honey comes through as well. Smooth, medium body with a palate cleansing effervescence. Lightly sweet biscuity flavor and a gentle spicy bitterness that is quite refreshing.

$9.99 @ City Food, marked Lot B/6/08. Pours a clear yellow orange with a buttload of tiny chunks suspended in the body and a two finger creamy off-white head, great retention. Fruity Belgian yeast up front with peach and cherry notes, some candi sugar as well. Light herbal hops in the background. The flavor continues to be pretty sweet and fruity with some alcohol showing up towards the finish, but not showing its 10% strength. There also is a peppery spice note. The finish is semi-dry with bitterness around a 2. Full smooth body with light carbonation. Nice beer.
