| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jun 30, 2009 Dark hazy amber with smallish white head. Aroma is bready perfume, citrus, and sweet malt. Banana and clove come through as well as angelfood cake. Flavor is sweet caramel and fruit, banana, and nectar. Extremely pronounced and flavorful. Some bready biscuit notes come through as well as some yummy citrus. Palate is smooth and rich- phenomenal for the style. Perhaps the best tripel I’ve had yet. craftycarl21 (580), South Hero, Vermont, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 30, 2009 Hazy golden pour with small white head. Aroma holds lots of sweet malt, bread, spice- light but delicious. Flavor is superb; light brown sugar, bread, sweet molasses, spices- incredibly tasty. Mouthfeel is wondrous, has a nice tinge of alcohol, and a bit of dryness on the finish. Superb abbey tripel, maybe the best I’ve had to date. l1br4r14n (297), Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Jun 28, 2009 Bottle started to foam over, so I had to pour fairly quickly and ended up with a lot of floaters. Aroma is very bready. Flavor is yeast, bread, a subtle cinnamon and other spices. This drinks very smooth and nicely. If not for all of the yeast floaters the palate would be quite nice. Clear gold with a bubbly, big, champagne like head that settles pretty fast. Lots of fruity aromas, peaches, apricots, etc. dominate the aroma, but some honey comes through as well. Smooth, medium body with a palate cleansing effervescence. Lightly sweet biscuity flavor and a gentle spicy bitterness that is quite refreshing. TheBeerOrg (1589), Kentucky, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 7, 2009 $9.99 @ City Food, marked Lot B/6/08. Pours a clear yellow orange with a buttload of tiny chunks suspended in the body and a two finger creamy off-white head, great retention. Fruity Belgian yeast up front with peach and cherry notes, some candi sugar as well. Light herbal hops in the background. The flavor continues to be pretty sweet and fruity with some alcohol showing up towards the finish, but not showing its 10% strength. There also is a peppery spice note. The finish is semi-dry with bitterness around a 2. Full smooth body with light carbonation. Nice beer. slimchill (783), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 20, 2009 Bottle. Cloudy orange-brown with a thin head but nice lacing. Orange and cinnamon aromas, plum, caramel, cherry, grapes, and other spices. Flavor is sweeter and less spicy than the nose, but very balanced. Orange and plum dominate with an array of spices. Thick, creamy, and smooth palate makes it enjoyable to drink. cmillward (437), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | May 11, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy golden-orange top with a creamy head, some lacing, a bit of particulate. Nose of grapes, yeast, rich malty sweetness, apricots, whiffs of brandy, balanced spices, nothing standing out too much. Rich, creamy light mouthfeel. Sweet malts, yeast, more grapes and spices a lot more booze as it warms. I am quite impressed by this tripel.
