Sweet citrus, and pineapple on the nose, with corriander. Very different aroma from most wits. Pours a cloudy yellow with a thin white head. Tart citrus, kumquats, lemon peel, tangerines, very wheaty, bready, big mouth feel, with a lot of spice presence, with a tart finish. This is a robust wit.

The aroma was mostly wheat when first poured with an odd tropical fruit characteristic. As it warmed a strong cheesy aromatic emerged. Sweet with a nutty nature and fruity pineapple. The beer poured into the glass lightly hazy pale golden amber with a barely lasting white head. The flavor was crisp and tart with a bready flavor of pie crusts and a citric and lactic tartness. Wheat was notable and the citrus and cheesy flavors were as well. No real spice was notable. The finish was dry with cheesy citric tartness lasting into the aftertaste. The body was medium-light with a fairly hight and prickly carbonation level. Not a great witbier by any stretch of the imagination, skip it altogether. 11.2 ounce bottle.

The most flavorful wit I’ve had. Aroma was strong...lemon, yeast and spices. Pour was a light gold with a big 3 finger white head. Taste was HUGE. One thing I like about wits is the light character. This didn’t fit that. Big corriander, lemon and yeast flavors with much carbonation. A citrusy aftertaste that is wet for a wit. As wierd as it sounds the taste actually took away from this beer for me.

(Bottle 33 cl) Hazy golden with a white head leaving some laces. Somewhat unclean, flowery aroma. Medium body with somewhat soapy accents. The finish is dry. An unexciting and poor Struise - way below their usual standard. 131107

11.2 oz bottle. Clear pale honey with a whipped white head that continued to rise after the pour. Nose is pleasant, but very light, clover and lemon. This is an odd one. Bready tomatillos, bubblegum and under-ripe peach; dry coriander. Light with light carb.

11.2 fl. oz. bottle from Beertopia in Omaha. Pour is a slightly hazy gold with a bunch of carbonation bubbles and a one inch white head. The carbonation looks like a mini storm in the glass and continued for quite a long time. Aroma of some graininess, earthy and maybe a bit of corn? Overall a pretty muted aroma. Taste of wheat grain and some bright citrus tartness with a bit of sour. Body is somewhat thin, though makes it easy to drink. Finish is pretty brief. This one is refreshing, easy to drink and not much beyond that. I actually had pretty high hopes for this one, but didn’t quite stack up.

33 Cl Bottle-Hazy golden color w/a slight white head. White grape aroma. Very much like drinking a dry white wine, Some citrus & white grape flavors w/a fair amount of carbonation. Too one dementional, no spices or sweetness to it at all. I’d pass on this one next time.

Pours a foggy gold. White head. Nose is like a chocolate banana bread. But no real strong character from either of those two that really give distinction. It’s really just a vague hit that I get that I am pulling. Airy citrus. Flavor is a bitter citrus that has a kick me in the mouth tang. Calms down over time, but it stays there. Feel has a decently bodied liquid feel and the carbonation is good. Overall the verdict is that it’s pretty good, but definitely not worth the price. Even though it’s a pretty good one, hindsight leads me to feel like I wouldn’t have missed anything if I had passed on trying this one.
