| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 6, 2009 Cloudy golden pour with a white head. Aroma of sourness, barnyard, a little funk. Taste is wow- sour, grassy, hay and funk. The flavor made my mouth water. Aftertaste was citrusy and a tad sour. One of the best wild Belgian ales so far. Mmm...Tasty! valpoaj (362), Valparaiso, Indiana, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Sep 1, 2009 Pours pale golden color with a thin white head that leaves a lasting film. Aroma is mild but has white grapes, barnyard, and apple. Flavor is more sour than I’d expect...slightly lactic in nature and fairly spicy. High level of tartness and a lemon note in the background. Very Berliner Weisse-like, but with an added funk...and this worked out well. Mild on the palate, with a lasting dryness that keeps you coming back. I thoroughly enjoyed this offering...a very fine sour. allfreej (375), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 27, 2009 Clear, bubbly, golden pour, with a white head. Nose is grape, yeast, and a bit of barnyard. Flavor is intensely tart and sitrusy (lemons). Dry finish with a slightly metallic tang. Drink4Satan (586), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 10, 2009 Thanks to STLWill for throwing in this bonus. Poured into a Stolzle snifter, producing translucent pale orange/creame colour with a quickly fading, wispy head. An understated brettanomyces yeast characterizes the nose, along with sour citrus and barnyard funk. The flavour brings about and element of spice that reminds me of cinnamon and canddied machintosh apples. The flavour is also salty throughout with some alcohol appearing as it warms. Lightly acetic notes add some tartness to the fiinish, which lingers despite the watery mouthfeel in the finish. For a sour this is extremely drinkable. A velvety texture and long flavour-residence time redeme the palate. PaulHegedus (467), Georgetown, Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 9, 2009 Bottle at cellar temp. This is a blonde, yellow ale with a fair bit of carbonation and no head. The aroma has lots of apple with brettanomyces. It is light in body. The flavour is quite tart with more brett, apple, lemon, white grape. DaSilky1 (1999), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 19, 2009 Pours a piss yellow clearness. Somewhat lace inducing halo. Smells funky, with horse and cheese, and with some vivid concord grape hints. Grapey flavors..somewhat subdued from the age on this bottle which was estimated between a year or two. Sour grapes is what I get...not much else, so not the most cxomplex drink but certainly clean...and grapey. kopher (305), New York, USA

slightly fizzy orange, minimal white head.
tart fruity aroma, apples and lemons.
similar flavor, though more balanced with some sweetness.
very juicy, not too dry, has a fairly light body.
it was good -- pretty apple-cider-y though. KAME (156), California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Jul 14, 2009 ehh, it’s alright. Way too heavy for a lambic style brew. It is sour, slightly complex with hints of sour apples and lemon zest, and looks nice in the glass, but the pedio is a little bit overwhelming and the FG is just too much to enjoy. I think a bit more brett might even the beer out, but over all it was a nice precursor to some Cantillon and 3F offerings.
