Commercial Description:
This blonde and slight sour ale is the result of a research combining Brettanomyces Bruxellensis and Pediococus Cerivisae from Wyeast and some skills out of the Wild Woesten.
Special beer by Struise as a tribute to Lembeek brewers.

11.2 oz. brown bottle. No freshness date seen. Poured out a dark ginger color, with no head at all. Aromas are of Belgian funk, locker room, apple cider vinegar. Flavors are of wildflower honey, definite funk, slighty acidic vinegar. Thin body & mouthfeel. Finishes tasting like Sweet Tarts.

Sampled from 750, courtesy TheCheeseMan. Hazy dark yellow color, ring of white head. Apple juicy funk aroma, slightly acidic, not a whole lot of barnyardy aromas, but still a pleasant funk. Tartness on taste is moderate, not really aggressive, but damn drinkable. Not the craziest wild yeast project, but clean and tasty.

33cl - Aroma is buggy, funky, doughy with orange and other subtle citrus fruits. Pours orange with a small head and great lacing. Flavor is tart citrus, funk, yeast, straw and slight barnyard. Palate is sour, tart and crisp. I found this to be quite sour. Not overly complex but damn tasty..

Bottle courtesy of pantanap -- thanks!

Pours a hazy orange-tinged gold with a pretty modest white head given the vigor of the pour. Delightful aroma. Sour, sour cherries and wood, a bit of dry aged sheep cheese. But the flavor doesn’t really match up. Soft sourness, tart but not overly so, lactic like Berliner weisse rather than brett-dominated. The pediococcus is doing most of the work here, it seems. Bready, a bit buttery (chardonnay), not a huge degree of complexity in the flavor, almost bland as one previous rater noted. Perfectly drinkable but not the extraordinary standout that every other Struise creation has been. Still, props to them for the experiment!

Pours a cloudy gold in color. There is a very nice tart/sour smell in the nose and the taste. Decent, with plenty of brett, and just the right amount of tartness to make this work. Went down easy, and the finish of each drink left you wanting another. Well done.

Bottle. Pours a lightly hazy gold with big white head. Aroma is lightly funky with notes of tart apple. Flavor is moderately sour, with a lemony blast of tartness before some sour apple takes over. Bready malt lays a nice background for some notes of brett, though they’re mild and I was most likely searching for them. Finish is dry and short, leaving my tonque numb. Interesting and tasty, but this bottle was pricy.

From a 330 ml bottle purchased at John’s Grocery in Iowa City. Medium gold body with a white head. The aroma is tart cherries with some hints of horseblanket. Dandelions also come in to play with the vineous character. The taste is fairly tart at first with lemon juice and blue cheese. Then as you drink more, you get some dry hay and bread crust. Light carbonation complements the refreshing, summer type flavors. This is very similar to some of the better lambics I have tried, but is more thick in the mouthfeel. This is solid and would be a treat for fans of sour ales.

(Bottled, 0.75l) Hazy golden with a smallish, quite firm, bright white head. Tart and fruity Brettanomyces aroma of sour apples and apricot. Sour apples in the dry flavor with hints of sugary sweetness and moderate acidity in the finish. Like saison and gueuze blended. Pretty crisp and refreshing, mildly tart and acidic mouthfeel with somewhat fizzy carbonation. Pretty good wild yeast experiment, yet a bit too bland to fill the boots of the Cantillon glass I drank it from :). (Draught) Pretty much the same stuff, but a bit drier.
