Commercial Description:
This blonde and slight sour ale is the result of a research combining Brettanomyces Bruxellensis and Pediococus Cerivisae from Wyeast and some skills out of the Wild Woesten.
Special beer by Struise as a tribute to Lembeek brewers.

Traded bottle. Pours a cloudy orange colour with a small white head. Big biting sour aroma of funky fruit and brett yeast. Pretty aggressive tart punch at the first taste but that honestly mellows out nicely in the end. Maybe a little one dimensional if anything to complain about. Solid sour.

Bottle: (northern brews November ’08 sour tasting) The aroma is faint sour apples along with a hint of yeast. It pours a transparent gold with a small white head that quickly fades to a thin rinig round the edges of the glass. The flavor was like a sour apple cider with a hint of vinegar. Light bodied with mild carbonation. This definitely didn’t compare to the rest of the sours that we sampled that day.

Amber clear-like apple juice with a foamy white head that was quicklu reduced to a ring. Aroma of yeast-bretannmyces, tartness evident. Flavor of brettanmyces, sour, tart with a hint of spice and fruit. Really nice beer!

nose of vinegar, general acidicness. definate note of lemon or other acidic fruits but still with their otherwise lightly sweet character intact. besides, plenty of the obvious: wild funk; barnyard and the like. appearance is ultra cloudy but still a wonderful gold, like the color of the sun of a moderately warm day. flavor catches you off guard like a slap to the face. so ultra sour and tart it caused me to close my left eye and nearly recoil from the surprise of how intense its sourness could be. the dry end is also very intense, probably moreso then anything i had previously sampled. so dry in fact, it leaves the throat burning for a short instant, or perhaps longing for more. sourness can only be compared to biting down on a full, and very fresh lemon rind.

After resting for a few months so the brett and pedi could work their magic I got around to opening this on a cool rainy spring afternoon. Having tried it once I may just pick this beer up again at some point in the future. In the very least I will recommend it to friends as a gateway to the world of sour beers. Striking a nice balance between tartness and sweetness it reminds me a olde bruin.

Aroma / Appearance - The transparent golden body and minimal head do not give any hints that this is a great beer. The tart, dry, and wheaty nose however begins to indicate this is more than just an experiment in throwing some bugs into a blonde ale. It almost reminds me of a young gueuze.

Flavor / Palate - Apple cider, lemon, and other sour citrusy flavors kick the throat with a nice tartness. The crisp finish is sharp and distinct. Unlike more sour beers it does not leave the throat parched. Struise once again has done an excellent job with this release.

Bottle - 750ml. Hazy golden body with average carbonation and a thin white bubbly head. Fresh hoppy aroma with herbal and cinnamon hints. Taste is sharp and well balanced. It carries fruity and herbal notes, and ends with a robust, long sour finish. Very good example of Sour Ale.

On tap at Kulminator inAntwerp. Golden orange in color with nice white head. Flavor nicely balanced between citrus and sour notes to create something very drinkable.

[1915-20081220] 11.2floz bottle. Sour yeasty and fruity aroma. Hazy, light brown orange body with a quick white bubbly head. Very sour fruity flavour with light lemon citrus and mild soap. Medium body is sour. Quite drinkable.
