MIBRomeo (1889), Wisconsin, USA May 18, 2008 Pours an off yellow color w/ a large white head and some nice lacing, lots of precipitate floating. Aroma was definatelly sour... is this a belgian ale really? I got some lemon zest and other sour fruits definate bret inside, along w/ a hint of bread. Tart palate well carbonated. Flavor had first a sour earthy leather and barn going on.. once past that there was a good fruit... a bitter apple skin, lemon zest and maybe even a touch of grape in there. Very nice twist.
Adenila (684), Denmark Oct 6, 2008 Tasted shortly after Cantillon Kriek which was so sour that my tastebuddy had to give up on it. Clear golden with a rich white head. Aroma of citrus tart berries and barnyard. Flavor is medium acidic and seem like a good beer to serve for a sour beginner. Again with lots of citrus and some wet horse. Hophead22 (252), Redlands, California, USA Oct 5, 2008 11.2oz bottle. Poured medium golden. Slightly dry aroma, A little sourness, but finished a bit thin. OK beer. mkobes (2038), somewhere, New Jersey, USA Oct 4, 2008 Bottle. Cloudy golden in color with a fluffy white head. Lemony tart malty aroma. Apple and pear notes. Sour apple lemony flavor. Yeasty citrusy notes. Medium bodied. Tart. Dry finish. Nice beer. Beerded_one (1600), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 27, 2008 Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden color with a fizzy white head. Aroma of light malts, lemon, fruit, and a hint of tartness. Flavor is sour and tart with lemon zest, yeast, earthy hops, and a touch of citrus. medium body with a tart and dry finish. puzzl (1817), New York, New York, USA Sep 20, 2008 Bottled. Very light in body, peachy, lacto. Some fresh dough, some granny smith apples. The body is quite lovely and this is easy drinking, though there is a muddy note towards the finish that is a bit odd. Very reminiscent of a good berliner weisse. Nicely done stuff here. Definitely not an ager.
