BückDich (4558), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 14, 2007 Bottle: Gold, light white head and nice lacing. Nose of corn, husk and alcohol. Vegetal, light malts. The flavor is metallic and rusty with lots of husky notes. The finish is ok. Corny. RAYBOY01 (1630), Chicago, Illinois, USA Feb 2, 2007 Everything said by my previous ratebeerian fellows are saying is accurate enough...corn, malt liquor, over-the-top ABV, etc, etc, etc...but I find a weirdly appealing vegetal/floral/perfuminess in the flavor of this beer that somehow endears itself to me...but only slightly. OK, it’s not very good. but I’ve had many FAR worse brews before. thegreenrooster (1514), St.louis, Missouri, USA Dec 22, 2006 Pour is a golden with a large white head. Aroma is so-so. Some grains and malts. Flavor is blah. A vegatable flavor with a strong sweetness. Pretty bad even for a eastern euro beer. JPDIPSO (4280), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Dec 21, 2006 Golden color with a taller off white head. Grain, corn and grass abound in the aromas. Hints of floral hops, somewhat simple and sweet in aroma. Mild malt flavors, followed by loads of alcohol. Alcohol in the middle and finish. A mild bitterness in the linger, But still I remember the alcohol from earlier in the taste. No depth, just a splash of malt and grain, followed by alcohol, I think you might be able to burn this in a sterno. Thin with a touch of fizz. There are actually points in the quaff, bright malt seems to bounce about at times, that I enjoy this one, but there are just points and not moments. Lacks balance and a cohesiveness. heemer77 (3781), Savannah, Missouri, USA Sep 9, 2006 From a one half liter bottle I purchased in Kansas City. The body is a fairly dark gold color with a bright white head. The carbonation bubbles are very active. The aroma is grainy corn with some fusel alcohol. There is also a little bit of wet cardboard. The taste is sickly sweet with some sweet potatoes. There is also a hint of wood in the finish. This is fairly sweet. This is rough and does not go down smooth.
