Can, 500 ml
Appearance: Pours bright, light golden body, golden but almost pale and reaching yellow hue, looks rather wattery, carbonation strenght bis medium, with bubbles coming wildly up, head is initially almost medium, white, foamy to frothy, systematically and quite quickly decreasing to almost nothing, there is no lacing.
Aroma: Acetonic hints in its first impression, some hoppy nose but hops used are neither flowery nor citrusy, rather more dull&grassy but not skunky though, rather plain, one dimentional, not the best quality hops, dull, unimpressive, some kind of harshness, no trace of malts or grains in aroma, some hints of milk but no chalkyness.
Flavour: Unimpressive, poor quality, poor quality hops, unfresh hoppy aroma giving unpleasant aftertaste, some barley malts and grains together with flour are felt on palate, water of poor quality, accidity, rustyness, flat, unimpressive, dull, wattery and boring finish, impression of cotton stucked in your throat towards the finish. Truelly I was expecting something much better.
Palate: Body is light, accidity stronger towards the end, carbonation is soft, finish feel is a bit chalky, boring, wattery, flat, unpleasant.
DruncanVeasey (1612), Burbage, Leicestershire, England Oct 27, 2007 Can labelled 5.2%. Grainy, furniture polish piney, overwhelmingly cardboard flavoured. Fingers crossed the porter out-tastes this one. Much as I don’t like it, there is a coniferous hint of hop. Would probably sip uncomplainingly on a Cretan balcony. larsga (2141), Oslo, Norway Sep 2, 2007 Medium white head. Yellow body with carbonation. Light clean malty aroma with grainy notes. Dry grassy taste with buttery notes. Faintly buttery mouthfeel, and yet somewhat watery. Dry grassy aftertaste, a little mealy. Unremarkable. (0.5l can from a delikatesy in Krakow.) Russo (487), Campinas, Brazil Jul 11, 2007 Can. Tried in Krakow. Gold yellow color with a fluffy head, malty aroma and low bitterness. nice...
