| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 10, 2007 Aroma of dark musty red fruits and roasted malt. Very dark brown color (beautiful ruby under strong light) with a good tan head. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is darkly roasted malt with notes of chocolate, possibly coffee, but not much fruit (none?). The finish approaches dry, and there is a decent amount of bitterness. Good winter brew. puzzl (2620), New York, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 27, 2007 Bottle from aspidites. Cool, clammy, lightly beety aroma. Some roast. Almost no head. Pour is pretty dead and boring. Flavor is good with a big roast and smooth balance, a touch creamy and vegetal. Quaffable. Good beer. shakespeare33 (120), san diego, California, USA
