Commercial Description:
Sudwerk Doppel Bock is available throughout the Holidays and is reminiscent of traditional winter seasonal brews of Germany. Rich and complex, with a layered malt character. Brewed with generous amount of Munich malt. And a subtle addition of chocolate malt for a distinct roasted character, and a range of caramel malts for a full, rounded flavor with a silky creamy finish.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of yespr/Ungstrup. Clear warm reddish brown with a beige head. Sweetish aroma of pumpernickel and burned caramel. Quite full-bodied, plenty of sweet roasted malt, pumpernickel and burned caramel. Subdued bitterness. A malt lover’s dream! 210309

12 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a deep amber glare and a fully gone head. Malty to wineous dense aroma. Bitter and roasted caramel malty initial flavour. Light liqourice hoppy touch and a lasting towards breadish dark malt flavour with a persisting sweetness into the finish. Ends dry and hoppy with a lingering roasted caramel flavour.

12oz bottle. Poured a deeper brown color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of dirty earth, roast, some chocolate, and caramel. Tastes of caramel, lighter earthiness, chocolate, and brown sugary sweetness.

Bottle... This beer rocks! Very dark, crystal clear, crimson lager with a mid-sized, creamy, beige head and good retention. Dark fruit, cocoa, black cherries and roasted nuts with just a whisper of smoke in the aroma. The malty, but well-balanced, flavor delivers notes of chocolate, light molasses and dried plum. Full-bodied and creamy with lively carbonation. Short, chocolatey, bitter-sweet finish. Thanks for the bottle, dark elf!
