| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 26, 2007 A very dark, dry stout. It didn’t have the most flavor of other stouts I’ve had, but Sudwerk always has a great brew on tap. grant (792), Colorado Springs, CO, Colorado, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 30, 2007 On tap at the brewpub in late June 2007. 0.3 L sample. Roasted, toasted, mildly metallic and hoppy aroma present. Lightly peppery and a bit of smokiness is in there, too. An interesting enough aroma. Moderately opaque dark brown-mahogany colored body with a frothy light tan head and nice lacing present. Starts a bit grainy and cereal-like. Lightly roasted, choco, and burnt flavors are present in the middle. Becomes quite hoppy with plenty of "C" hops in the finish. Kind of thin-bodied and overly hoppy. Just seems kind of lacking. I think this is too hoppy to fit the "Dry Stout" classification.
