Rich malty aroma. Amber color with a fine white head. Starts with smooth malt. Followed by carbonation and a hint of roasty malt, finishing with carbonation on the tongue and more malt. Struggling to find the hops, if any. Better than Bud. Much better.

THis is quite tasty for the style. Rich smooth and malty, with just a hint of honey sweetness. Pours a deep amber coloring with a brilliant tan head, that fades into some bubbly fizz. Easy to drink.

Bottle: Auburn ruby, thin head, light lacing. Nose of light sweet caramel and grassy hops. Very faint. The flavor is moist like wet dog and underhopped malt; light sweetness. The finish is tinny and watery, needs either more body or more sweetness, but I think that’s synonymous with this one.

Dark amber color and nice lacing. That’s about all I can say that’s good. Taste is bland, mouthfeel is a little weak, aroma is non-existent. Not very impressive. Aftertaste is on the malty side, which is good too. I’ve had better marzen’s.

I enjoyed this! Aroma is very malty and nutty. So far so good. The color is an orangish/amber color with a off-white head with tons of little bubbles. Taste is malty, slightly nutty and overall very pleasing. Very nice beer!

On tap at the brewpub. Dark amber in color with a white head. Complete lack of an aroma. Medium malt sweetness. This lager seems much lighter in flavor than the coor would suggest. Tongue tingly finish without very much aftertaste.

I went to the restaurant last night and while I’m not much of a fan of German lagers this one was actually pretty good. I never expected to find a German ber this aromatic, dark and flavorful. Pretty good.

Bottle: Coppery in color, moderate to large off-white head, foamy, fairly nice lacing, light carbonation.   Bready nose, malty, hint of grain.   Somewhat boring at less than room temp, but as it warms some very subtle dark pitted fruit emerges.   Moderate body and mouthfeel, although it nears the thin side.   Somewhat funky finish, a bit more grainy and fuesel than I care for.   Not bad, certainly better than lots of other examples.
