Bottle courtesy of wavers1. Pours copper with a sustained, white head and a healthy amount of carbonation. Smells of caramel, some fruity hints, spicy, earthy, some citrus. Tastes of citrus, caramel, spice, pepper, earthy. Enjoyable.

Deep amber color with a light creamy head. Aroma of malt toast nearly ideal, unfortunately there is a touch of oxidation. Munich malt flavors throughout with just enough hops to cut the sweetness. A true fall session brew.

Bottle: Auburn ruby, thin head, light lacing. Nose of light sweet caramel and grassy hops. Very faint. The flavor is moist like wet dog and underhopped malt; light sweetness. The finish is tinny and watery, needs either more body or more sweetness, but I think that’s synonymous with this one.

Bottle from Beer on the Wall, which has become a favorite of mine due to the rapidly rotating inventory, fair shipping rates, and sturdy, reshippable cardboard boxes that they ship with. This one pours chill hazy deep copper with minimal head. Aroma is caramel malt, slight brown sugar, toffee, and red wine grapes. Tastes caramel malty for the most part, with notes of berry, brown sugar, almond, walnut, and cabernet.

A golden amber beer with a thick off white head. In aroma, a lightly nutty aroma. In mouth, a lightly nutty malt taste with mineral notes and German hops. Medium bodied. On tap at brewpub, August 27 2009.

Rich malty aroma. Amber color with a fine white head. Starts with smooth malt. Followed by carbonation and a hint of roasty malt, finishing with carbonation on the tongue and more malt. Struggling to find the hops, if any. Better than Bud. Much better.
