Same in the flavor with a bit of oxidation. Decent. SamGamgee (1469), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 17, 2008 12oz bottle purchased at the brewery. Pale straw color with a lasting, fluffy head. The aroma has lots of floral and spicy hops, with fresh dough as well. The flavor is first and foremost bitter. Lean and dry in the malt department; the spicy, herbal hops dominate. A nice German style pilsner; lean and hoppy. Super refreshing on a hot day, but the lack of malt robustness lets you down a little when you want some more substance to chew on. badlizard (2386), Berkeley, California, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 10, 2007 On tap at Beachwood BBQ. Crystal clear, pale golden colored pour with a frothy layer of brilliant white head. Gentle aromas of herbal and floral hops liven up an ultra clean bready pilsener malt base. No DMS, making the true characters of the pilsener malt really shine through. Light bodied, crisp, refreshing mouthfeel with a sizzling carbonation. Well attenuated and exceptionally balanced between malt sweetness and hop bitterness. Bready, doughy malt up front, followed by a refreshing finish of herbal hops. Dry, lagery finish. Perfectly hopped, and wonderfully clean. It’s difficult to find a good fresh pilsner that exhibits zero DMS, but this one does so marvelously, allowing the pilsener malt to shine through wonderfully. Flavorful, quaffable, refreshing, clean. Awesome pils. exadore (92), Sacramento, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 18, 2007 Bottle. Poured with a half finger head. Body is a very clear, almost watery yellow color. Nice bitter flavor, tastes very average for the style. Easily notable bubbly flavor, over carbonated? I think so. Allthatisevil (48), alabaster, Alabama, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 11, 2007 Light colour of gold. Nice bitter style aftertaste I think it could be a little less carbonated. It’s a good beer.
