Clean crisp malt flavor, and muted hops, with nice corn flavors. A decent pilsener beer, considering its not my favorite style. aspidites (1274), manteca, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 11, 2005 The best german style pils around. Soft honeyed malt with a touch of hay. Very clean hop bitterness with a lite nose of grass and honeydew. Nice hop nose clean and soft dry finish. Aubrey (2782), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jan 10, 2005 Bright gold; decent head. A little lighter than the helles. Creamy body with a lively carbonation. Dry and grainy malts with very little sweetness. Decent amount of bitterness, but aromas weren’t the greatest ... and what was there was mild. Bitter flowers and some grass in the finish. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 12, 2004 Yellowish gold color with no head. Looks like champagne. Aroma and taste is like malted corn juice. If it wasn’t for the lively carbonation, I’d pour this shit. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 20, 2004 Updated: Aug 4, 2006Date on bottle says 04/01/03. Bought in a cheap liquor store in downtown Reno (that also still had 03 Celebration). Small floaties and a pale gold color, light head, fairly retentive with no lacing. The nose is metallic with light hops and and grainy malts. Tastes a bit sweet and fruity with a nice fresh taste of hops and acidified malts. Clean brief finish, perhaps a bit old almost but a decent pils. Update: Had a newer bottle and it was nearly identical, maybe .1 higher and w/o the light metal note, still crispy. dahatherley (35), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 10, 2004 Golden yellow body with small white head. Flavor is unspectacular with fizzy carbonation. Finish is somewhat flat and buttery. grant (792), Colorado Springs, CO, Colorado, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 10, 2004 A fine enough pilsener. Quite pale body; not as golden as Urquell or Budvar, but it's of no matter. Aroma is off spice (cilantro) and freshly cut peppers. Come to think of it, this would pair great w/ Mexican food. Flavor is sweet and streamlined; for some reason I think of wheat field waving in the wind. Yeah, whatever. Finishes super-clean with a pleasant tinge of yeast. Finely executed. bb (2941), Martinez, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 19, 2003 Draft. A little overcarbonated, but it's a good decent beer. There is a malt presence that's followed by a dry hop flavor, but I'd like to see just a few more hops in this one. It's good, it's clean, but it just lacks something to push it over the top.
