beernovice39 (237), South Carolina, USA Oct 16, 2009 Next at the beer tasting at wine world was this sickeningly sweet stuff. ugh....next yobdoog (1420), Woodridge NY, New York, USA Jul 6, 2009 Golden orange color slightly hazy. Carmamel malts with a very slight hop balance. A little watery but drinkable. Drank in the hot sun so was not that bad. Very cold was a bit refreshing. A little lingering corny taste. tekhna (100), California, USA Apr 11, 2009 Updated: Apr 12, 2009Under-carbed caramel malt, some sweetness and more bitterness than I expected. The only thing that made it worth drinking was to have it at St. Nick’s pub. Rciesla (3500), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Oct 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours a golden body with a white head. Herbal hop resins, some light malt. Lightly bitter and metallic. eh. rcasta (470), El Salvador Aug 3, 2008 Sugar Hill has a pleasant aroma and well-balanced taste. Its high-malty flavor and well-hopped character make Sugar Hill a refreshing complement to any meal or special occasion. Dickinsonbeer (3434), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Mar 11, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a Dull golden with medium carbonation and a very thin off white head. A roma is grassy, and herbal hops with some doughy pils and crackery pale malts. Flavor is a bit more crisp and has a distinct carapils ligth sweetness, with a tea-like bitterness- slight astringent. Actually has a typical quality that I find in many saratoga beers. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA Feb 2, 2008 Pours a clouded amber gold. No head. Nose is a fairly firm metallic with a bit of sugar peeking about as well. Flavor is bitter with a lemon citrus edge. Sweet as well, but just a faint touch. Metallic is the word here as that is the most dominant feature. Feel is nice on the bubble and a bit thicker on the liquid. Overall though the metallic flavors that are there kind of detract I think. I can’t say it is anything exciting worth trying. beerbill (1917), Laurel, New York, USA Oct 28, 2007 Sampled at GWBF 2007. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle. Hazy gold color with a thin white head. Light aroma of hops with a little bit of sweet malt. Light, dry hoppy flavor. An ok beer, but not worth revisiting.
