Its high-malty flavor and well-hopped character make Sugar Hill a refreshing complement to any meal or special occasion. Dickinsonbeer (3494), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 11, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a Dull golden with medium carbonation and a very thin off white head. A roma is grassy, and herbal hops with some doughy pils and crackery pale malts. Flavor is a bit more crisp and has a distinct carapils ligth sweetness, with a tea-like bitterness- slight astringent. Actually has a typical quality that I find in many saratoga beers. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 2, 2008 Pours a clouded amber gold. No head. Nose is a fairly firm metallic with a bit of sugar peeking about as well. Flavor is bitter with a lemon citrus edge. Sweet as well, but just a faint touch. Metallic is the word here as that is the most dominant feature. Feel is nice on the bubble and a bit thicker on the liquid. Overall though the metallic flavors that are there kind of detract I think. I can’t say it is anything exciting worth trying. beerbill (1955), Laurel, New York, USA

Light aroma of hops with a little bit of sweet malt. Light, dry hoppy flavor. An ok beer, but not worth revisiting. kp (8396), Woodstock, Georgia, USA
