Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Also available filtered in bottle.
Our porter is named after the native cattle of the region, in line with our main theme, of all thats best in this area of South West Scotland.
The "Galloway" is a hardy hill breed, much sought after for their unique qualities. As the name suggests, this is a very dark brew, which derives it's colour from the abundance of deeply roasted Maris Otter barley and chocolate malts utilised in the brewing process. This is a robust drink, which can be ideal as a winter warmer.

Cask at Standing Order, Edinburgh. Copper colour. Total oxidation here, with a blanket of youghurt. I like youghurt. And beer. Let them be separated from one another. Note: A cask beer in bad condition ought to be rated, that might make the beerholders have a think or two.

Cask Stillage at the Assembly Rooms, Derby 12/07/2007 Roast and malt aromas. Dark slightly rich on the palate and fruity. A little sweet. Some dryness in a crisp roast finish.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Derby BF. An opaque black coloured beer. The aroma has licquorice and chocolate together with a bit of smoke. The taste is sweetish with more licquorice. A bit of a sour end, and a good hit of alcohol for its strength. Decent.
