Jun 16, 2007 STBF07 Aroma is sweet malts, bitter hops can be found slightly. Taste is a similar one dimentional malty nothing ale. Another scottish failure.

Dec 5, 2005 Draught at JD’s Galashiels. The only cask beer available on this visit. Hazy, with a thin head. This was pretty much an average bitter with no distinguishing features other than a rather sharp bitter edge to the finish. I wasn’t impressed, which is a shame as I rate the other beers from Sulwath quite highly, perhaps I should try again if I come across it again.

Feb 15, 2004 Gravity @ Betteroffnotgoing Festival. Slightly dull amber. No aroma. Thin, sharp bodied. Some apple. Some acid. A slight nuttiness, but very faint. Not interesting. A bit green. Some allowance made.

It’s never nice or easy to have to write poor comments about a beer or a brewery, however on this occasion there was nothing grand to say about this ginger coloured beer. The aroma was unimpressive if at all discernable. The flavour was bland with a sharpish metallic twist.
