Cask @ Guildford Arms, Edinburgh.
Pours clear ruby with a good, frothy, off-white head. Aroma is lightly grainy, very malty sweet, but with a great note of strawberries. Light carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, some fne strawberry notes, light toasted caramel and hazel nuts. Fine, flowery bitter finish. Good with the fruitiness.

Cask, Bodega, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. Copper colour with a thin off white head. Malty, slightly farty aroma with a hint of fruit. All feels very supressed, with flavours struggling to get out. Drinkable, but pretty dull fayre.

Pours a decent bronze colour. Aroma is normal malt/hops. Taste is a little more unusual, an odd smoked character, sour cherries and cereal flavours with a bitter finish. Decent enough pint.

Cask-conditioned at the Victoria, Clifton, Bristol 3/2/09. Malty, milk chocolate and caramel aroma. Flavour was sweet, with some earthiness and a short bitter finish. Ok.

Half pint, hand pulled at Standing Order, Edinburgh. Dark amber with a fading, but lacing head. Notes of juicy malts in a very weak aroma. The taste brings hints of plums alongside acid malts, which was not a particular successful mix to my palate. Dry and clean in the mouth 23.10.2008.

Cask at Standing Order, Edinburgh. Copper colour. Wet flowers and light phenolic aroma. Fruity flavour with grassy hops. Dry bitter. Bit sweet. Somewhat artificial.
